 On 5-14-3013 at approximately 11:20 p.m. Deputy Brandon Long stopped a vehicle for speeding on Highway 14 east near St. James. The driver was identified as Billy Jack Wilson, age 37 of Batesville, Ar. After further investigation, Wilson was arrested for possession of crystal methamphetamine over 10 grams, possession of drug paraphernalia, possession of marijuana, and speeding. Deputy Long discovered approximately 14 grams of crystal methamphetamine and two grams of marijuana, as well as drug paraphernalia. Wilson was transported to the Stone County Jail where he is awaiting bond. The methamphetamine is valued at $1,400.00. If convicted, Wilson faces 6 to 30 year in the Arkansas Department of Corrections for the methamphetamine charge and 0-6 years on the drug paraphernalia charge. Penalties for the marijuana charge is up to one year in county jail. Bond was set at $20,000.00.
