Stone County Sheriff's Office weekly update

The weekly mileage for patrols is 3350 miles.

During the week of Febuary 11-17th, the deputies responded to:

  • A disturbance on Highway 5 North resulting in a felony narcotic arrest
  • An alarm at Rural Special School
  • A dog caught in a steel trap on Hidden Valley road
  • Cows in the road on Highway 9 South
  • A felony theft report at Pleasant Grove
  • A horse in the road at Rocky Bayou resulting in the Humane Society taking possession of the horse
  • Multiple 4 wheelers driving on the Highway 14 East
  • Motorist assist on School Avenue
  • A land dispute on Horton Hill road
  • Deputies did trafic safety checkpoints at various locations throughout the county resulting in DWI arrests
  • A theft of a woman's medication on Highway 66 west
  • A prowler call on Highway 263 Onia
  • Debris in the roadway at Rocky Bayou
  • Transported subject to court from Kera Drive
  • A domestic disturbance on Highway 66 west resulting in two arrests
  • Transported an inmate back to department of corrections mavern unit
  • An accident in Timbo school parking lot
  • Served papers in Blue Sky area
  • Served papers on Nesbitt Drive area
  • A suspicious vehicle on Mingues Turner road
  • A residential alarm on Oak Grove Loop
  • A possible break in off QMC road
  • Provided security at Rural Special Ball games
  • A hit and run accident on Alco Mountain
  • Assisted MVPD with a drunk driver at Days Inn
  • An intoxicated person at Mountain View Chevrolet around 9 p.m.
  • A brush fire on Lemon Road
  • A medical emergency on Lily lane
  • Assisted DHS on a child welfare case near Blue Sky
