During the week of 3/30 ? 4/5, deputies logged 3,478 miles.
Deputies responded to:
* motor vehicle accident on Highway 263, with one injury. The driver was arrested for DWI.
complaint of cows in the highway on Highway 5 South. Owner was notified.
* accident on Highway 5 South, with no injuries.
*complaint of a reckless driver on Highway 9 South. No contact.
*report of a two-vehicle accident at Timbo. Nothing found.
*domestic disturbance on Highway 14 in Fifty Six. Subject arrested.
* possible domestic disturbance in Mountain View, resulting in a subject fleeing by vehicle. He later left the vehicle and ran into the woods, where he was apprehended with the help of the police dog.
* residential alarm on Oak Grove Loop.
*dispute at Meadowcreek, no arrests.
*complaint of animal abuse on Foll Loop, subjects given verbal warning.
*motorcycle accident on Highway 14.
*complaint of intoxicated subject on Claudia Road. The individual had stolen a car and left the scene by the time deputies arrived. It is still under investigation.
*possible domestic on Hayden Heights Road, verbal warning given.
*dispute on Thomas Road, off Highway 110, no arrests.
*911 hang-up on Oak Grove Loop, everything okay.
*complaint of motor vehicle accident on Highway 66, nothing found.
*reckless motorcycle driver coming into town on Highway 87, no contact.
*complaint of subject passing stopped school bus on Highway 5 South, citation issued.
*investigated a theft at Spoon Flat Cemetery on Highway 14. Approximately 30 solar lights were taken from the cemetery.
*initiated a traffic stop on Highway 14, with subject arrested for possession of a controlled substance.
*initiated a traffic stop on Highway 5 North, with subject arrested for DWI and excessive speed.
*served multiple legal papers throughout the county.
*transported inmates to and from facilities around the state.
*performed multiple building checks in the county.
*initiated multiple traffic stops for speeding.
