Sheriff Bonds update in Stone County Leader

The following information is taken from the daily activity logs of deputies with the Stone County Sheriff’s Department.

During the week of 7/6 - 7/21 deputies logged 2,777 miles.

Deputies responded to:

• A possible drunk driver on Culp Road. No contact.

• A one-vehicle accident on Hwy. 66 west; male subject arrested for DWI.

• A disabled vehicle blocking the highway on Hwy. 66.

• Multiple fires around the county.

• A complaint of a subject on Luber Road yelling obscene language at passing motorists.

• A missing person from Texas thought to be in Stone County. Subject later located in Texas.

• A domestic disturbance on Mingues-Turner Road. No arrests.

• A possible drunk driver on Hwy.66. No contact.

• A theft of property report on Angora Mountain Road; investigation continues.

• Goats in the highway on Hwy. 5 South.

• A complaint of a disturbance on Bagby Lane. No contact.

• A possible domestic disturbance on Shady Oak Drive. No contact.

• An 18-wheeler stalled on Hwy. 263.

• A theft of property report on Sunny Fox Road.

• A report of a subject burning brush; was asked to put out fire.

• A dog bite at Sylamore Creek Camp.

• A possible domestic disturbance on Blue Sky Road. No arrests.

• A domestic disturbance on Hwy. 9 South. Female subject taken to another residence.

• A possible assault on Herpel Road.

• A dispute on Hwy. 66. Male subject removed from residence. No arrests.

• A domestic disturbance on Hwy. 9 South. Female taken to women’s shelter.

• A complaint of destruction of private property on Oak Grove Loop. Investigation continues.

• A residential alarm at Webb Acres.

• A drunk driver call on Herpel Road. No contact.

• A possible prowler on Hwy. 5 north. No contact.

• A dispute on Holmes Road.

Deputies also:

• Made multiple building checks and multiple inmate transports.

• Checked on the welfare of a Halpain Road resident.

• Conducted a traffic stop on Hwy. 66. Subject arrested for possession of a controlled substance.

• Conducted a traffic stop on Hwy. 9 South. Subject arrested on outstanding warrants.

• Conducted a traffic stop on Hwy. 5 North. Subject arrested driving on a suspended license, DWI.

• Conducted a traffic stop on Hwy. 5 North. Subject arrested on outstanding warrants.

• Assisted MVPD with a domestic disturbance. Two subjects arrested.

• Checked on the welfare of a Parma Road resident. Subject okay.

• Checked on the welfare of a family thought to be at Blanchard campgrounds. Subjects located at Gunner Pool campgrounds.

• Investigated a break-in on Mitchell Road.

• Investigated a break-in at Meadow Creek.

• Checked on the welfare of a Fox resident. Subject okay.

• Checked on the welfare of a Hwy. 9 South resident. No contact.

• Checked on the welfare of a resident off Happy Hollow Road. Subject okay.

• Investigated the theft of a motorcycle on Half Moon Road.

• Responded to a call on mail box vandalism on Hwy. 14 East.

• Served multiple legal papers around the county.

• Worked a one-vehicle accident on Hwy. 9 South. No personal injuries.

• Worked a one-vehicle roll over accident on Hwy. 5 South. Two personal injuries.
