Criminal Charges filed in Burgulary of Foothills Baptist Church

    









                  

PRESS RELEASE FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE

 

Sheriff Lance Bonds announced today that criminal charges have been file in the following cases:

 

  1. On June 22, 2012, criminal investigators interviewed Blake Anthony Sexton (D.O.B. 03/21/1993) (217 Hell Creek Road Mountain View) concerning the commercial burglary and theft of property of the Foothills Baptist Church in Stone County.  The burglary had occurred on 28 February 2011 however; information surfaced since that time which suggested Sexton could be responsible for the crime.

 

 

           When interviewed by Detective Dewayne Pierce of the Stone County Sheriff’s

           Department, Sexton stated he was responsible for burglarizing the Foothills Baptist

           church.  Sexton entered the church and admitted to stealing money and checks from

           inside.  The monies taken were in part, donations to the church.  Approximately $4,700.00

           was taken in the burglary and theft.  16TH Judicial District Prosecutor Don McSpadden’s

           office filed formal charges of Commercial Burglary and Theft of Property against Sexton,

           on July 17, 2012.  Sexton’s bond has been set at $5,000.00 by Judge Kemp of Stone

           County.  He has been given a court date of August 9, 2012 at 9:30 AM.
