FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE
- OnSeptember 14, 2012, a joint investigation between the Searcy County Sheriff’s Department and the Stone County Sheriff's Department resulted in the seizure of an undisclosed amount of manufactured marijuana. The marijuana seized was located on the Searcy County and Stone County Line in the Big Flat area.
After gathering information, Searcy County Sheriff Kenney Cassell, Stone County Sheriff Lance Bonds and Searcy County Chief Deputy Dewayne Pierce searched the area and located the "outside grow" operation. After locating the plants, they were seized and removed from the area. During the investigation, a person of interest was developed and the investigation continues into this persons involvement.
