New ReleaPossession of a Schedule III Controlled Substance

Sheriff Lance Bonds states that on September 4, 2016, at approximately 9:15AM, Deputy Brad Breeding was dispatched to a suspicious vehicle parked in the middle of Burkhart Road appearing to be passed out or asleep.  Upon arrival, Deputy Breeding made contact with the vehicle and approached the driver.  The vehicle was turned off and the driver was asleep.  Deputy Breeding observed the driver to be Charles Adam CARNAHAN of Mountain View, AR.  CARNAHAN was holding a baseball bat and a knife.

There was also an orange container that contained six pills.  CARNAHAN was awakened by Deputy Breeding.  CARNAHAN couldn’t produce a prescription for the pills and also appeared to be under the influence of something.  Deputy Breeding arrested CARNAHAN without incident.  He was transported to the Stone County Jail.  It was also learned that CARNAHAN is out on bond for a previous drug charge.

Carnahan was transported to the Stone County Detention Center.  He awaits a Stone County Circuit Court Date.
