Stolen School Bus

Sheriff Lance Bonds states that on September 25, 2016, Deputy Jason Jordan responded to the call of a stolen school bus form the Timbo High School.  Moments later, Deputy Jordan asked Stone County Dispatch to contact the Mountain View Police Department for assistance in locating the bus in the event that the bus was in Mountain View.

A short time later, Officer Rick Crome made contact with the school bus, and conducted a traffic stop at Long Avenue and Hwy. 66.  The suspect, Pamela Twilla of Lynn, Arkansas was arrested from behind the wheel and transported to the Stone County Detention Center.

On September 25, 2016, during a post miranda interview, Pamela Twilla told Investigator Blake Cruz that she took the bus because she was tired of walking.

Twilla is expected to be charged with Breaking or Entering, Theft of Property and .  Two of the charges will be felonies with one being a traffic violation.

 Sheriff Bonds commends the MVPD for their assistance.
