Sheriff Lance Bonds states that on October 20th, 2016,  he and Deputy Zach Alexander conducted a welfare check on Gale Bolin, at her residence. After arriving at Bolin's address, they were approached by Ms. Bolin in her driveway. Ms. Bolin had a staggering demeanor and was very slurred in her speech. Ms. Bolin jumped from topic to topic and was very fidgety.

Bolin was asked if she was under the influence of any narcotics, at which time she stated no.  During a consent to search, a spoon containing a white crystal like substance was located.  The substance field tested positive for methamphetamine.  . 

Bolin was placed under arrest for Possession of Drug Paraphernalia, a Class "B" Felony and transported to the Stone County Detention Center for booking.

Her bond was set at $5,000.00
