Narcotics Arrest

Sheriff Lance Bonds states that on May 13, 2017, Investigators with the Stone County Sheriff's Department and the U.S. Forest Service approached three individuals at the Gunner Pool Campground, after the three had been seen smoking Crystal Methamphetamine.

During the onsite investigation, officers located and confiscated a baggie containing Crystal Meth and a baggie containing marijuana. Also located were two pipes. One used for smoking marijuana and one used for smoking Crystal Meth. While conducting interviews, John Vernon Webb of Stone County, stated that the narcotics belonged to him.

Webb has been charged by 16th Judicial Prosecuting Attorney Holly Meyer with (1)Possession of a Controlled Substance (Crystal Meth) Class D Felony (2) Possession of Drug Paraphernalia with Purpose to Use Crystal Meth (Class D Felony) and (3) Possession of Controlled Substance (Marijuana) (Class A Misdemeanor).

Webb is scheduled for Stone County Circuit Court in June. He is currently being held in the Stone County Detention Center with a $2,500.00 bond.
