Missing Child

Sheriff Lance Bonds states that on March 9, 2018, at approximately 5pm, officers with his agency were contacted in reference to a missing child in the Timbo area.  After arriving on scene, it was learned that the six (6) year old child had wandered from the residence in an unknown direction.

The K-9 Unit from the North Central Unit at Calico Rock was contacted and requested to respond to the area in regard to the search effort.

While awaiting the arrival of the North Central K-9 Unit, an immediate area search was conducted however, the juvenile was not located.

After arriving, the K-9 Team began a search. Several minutes into the search, the team's K-9s alerted on what was believed to be the scent of the missing child.  After approximately one hour, the K-9 Team advised that the child had been located and that he was un-injured.

Sheriff Bonds fully supports the North Central K-9 Unit and the tremendous role they play in Stone County.  Sheriff Bonds once again thanks the team for the assistance and service.
