Search Warrant results in arrest of Stone County Man

Chief Deputy Dammon McGilton released that on June 25, 2021, he along with members of the 16th Judicial District Drug Task Force executed a narcotic search warrant at the residence of Corey OWEN located on Hanover Road in Stone County.  Officers located approximately five grams of crystal methamphetamine, numerous items of meth paraphernalia, and numerous firearms, (one of which was a prohibited sawed-off shotgun).  Two minor children were taken into DHS Custody. 

Corey OWEN, age 31, is being charged with possession of a schedule II controlled substance, meth, 2-10 grams with the purpose to deliver, (B-Felony); possession of drug paraphernalia with the purpose to use methamphetamine, (D-Felony); possession of drug paraphernalia with the purpose to test and analyze meth, (B-Felony); simultaneous possession of drugs and firearms, (Y-Felony); criminal use of a prohibited weapon, (sawed-off shotgun), (D-Felony); maintaining a drug premises, (C-Felony); endangering the welfare of a minor in the first degree, (D-Felony).
