On August 12, 2021, Investigators with the Stone County Sheriff's Department and Parole Agents with Arkansas Community Correction executed Felony Arrest Warrants at a residence on Webb Acres.  Two people were arrested.  Phillip "Travis" BAUGH, age 42 of Mountain View and Brianna R. EVERSOLL, age 30, of Mountain View were arrested on Felony Bench Warrants for Failure to Appear in Circuit Court after both had jumped bail on drug charges.  They remain in custody at the Stone County Jail with NO BOND.   

 

On August 14, 2021, deputies were dispatched to Highway 5 North in the Optimus area in reference to a domestic disturbance involving a firearm.  Upon arrival, the suspect had left the location.  After further investigation, deputies and investigators learned that the suspect was Earl Walker FREEMAN, age 56, of Calico Rock.  FREEMAN was located early Sunday morning and was taken into custody for Aggravated Assault on a Family or Household Member which is a felony and Felony Terroristic Threatening.  He is currently incarcerated in the Stone County Jail pending official charges in Circuit Court.  

 

On August 16, 2021, Chief Deputy Dammon McGilton and Lieutenant Tony Trammell went to a residence on Younger Access Road and arrested Kayla L. GREENHAW on a Felony Failure to Appear Warrant out of Circuit Court.  GREENHAW failed to appear in Circuit Court on drug related charges.  

 

Chief Deputy McGilton would also like to remind citizens that School is back in session.  He and his deputies will be working the School Zones and bus stops throughout the county.  Please pay attention to these areas.  If you are caught passing a school bus loading or unloading children you will be ticketed.  There will be Zero Tolerance concerning bus stops.
