Arrest made in Rape case

 

Chief Deputy Dammon McGilton released that over the past couple of months, Investigators with the Stone County Sheriff's Department and Searcy County Sheriff's Department conducted an investigation with a Searcy County man involving sexual activity with a minor less than 14 years of age.  The sex crimes took place in Searcy and Stone Counties.  After further investigation, Investigators learned that Devin WILLIAMS, age 30, of Marshall, AR, engaged in sexual activity on three different occasions with the minor in Stone County within the past year. 

On September 7, 2021, an arrest warrant was obtained by Stone County Investigator Justin Meeks for one count of rape and two counts of Sexual Assault in the second degree.  Bond was set at $300,000.  WILLIAMS is currently incarcerated in the Searcy County Jail with three pending rape charges on the same victim.  The Searcy County Bond is set at $250,000.00.  WILLIAMS is awaiting an appearance in court.
