Investigations result in arrests

According to Chief Deputy Dammon McGilton of the Stone County Sheriff's Department, Deputies, Mountain View City Police, Drug Task Force Agents, Arkansas Game and Fish Officers, and other agencies have been busy with investigations throughout Stone County over the last week. 

  • - On Friday, November 12, 2021, Stone County Deputies, Mountain View Police Officers, and Drug Task Force Agents executed a Search Warrant on Redbud Avenue in Mountain View. This investigation stemmed from a complaint from Officer Liz Parsons with the Mountain View Police Department, who is also the Sex Offender Coordinator throughout Stone County.  Officer Parsons had received information from Pulaski County that Chad A. MIKISKA, age 36, of North Little Rock was living at the Redbud Avenue address in Mountain View.  MIKISKA was previously denied permission to live at the residence due to the fact he is a Level III Sex Offender and the location was within 2,000 feet of a daycare center.  It was learned that MIKISKA was wanted for failure to register as a sex offender out of Pulaski County and was also living with Tiffany FLORES, age 33, at the address who is an active parolee out of Cleburne County.  Information was passed on to Chief Deputy Dammon McGilton. 

 

After further investigation, officers were able to obtain a search warrant.  Upon execution of the search warrant, officers located meth pipes, digital scales, numerous baggies, approximately 16 grams of KRATOM, (a schedule I controlled substance), approximately 1 gram of Fentanyl, and mail with MIKISKA'S name on it addressed to the Redbud Avenue address.  Both MIKISKA and FLORES were arrested and transported to the Stone County Detention Center. 

 

Chad MIKISKA is charged with Failure to Register as a Sex Offender in Stone County, a Class C Felony; Registered Level III Sex Offender living within 2,000 feet of a daycare center, a Class D Felony; Possession of a Schedule I Controlled Substance, (KRATOM), with the purpose to Deliver, a Class B Felony; Possession of a Schedule I Controlled Substance, (Fentanyl), with purpose to deliver, a Class D Felony; and Maintaining a Drug Premises, a Class C Felony.  His bond was set at $100,000.00.

 

Tiffany Flores is charged in Stone County Circuit Court for Possession of Schedule I Narcotics, (Kratom and Fentanyl, maintaining a drug premises, and possession of drug paraphernalia with the purpose to use meth.  FLORES has a bond of $25,000.00.
