Traffic Stop results in felony arrest of female from Missouri
 
On October 5, 2021, shortly after midnight, Deputy Trevor Leonard stopped a Grey Ford SUV, for crossing the center line several times. According to a report, Deputy Leonard observed that the driver appeared to be under the influence of a controlled substance. The driver was making involuntary movements, sweaty, shaking, scratching, and avoiding eye contact. The driver was identified as Shawn Annee THORNE, of Chula, Missouri. Deputy Bryan Rose arrived to the stop location to assist. After further investigation, deputies located a methamphetamine smoking device and a small baggie of a white crystalline substance that field tested positive as Crystal Methamphetamine and weighed approximately 1 gram. THORNE was arrested and transported to the Stone County Detention Center where she made bond of $1,500.00. THORNE is charged with Possession of a Schedule II Controlled Substance, Crystal Meth, less than 2 grams, (Class "D" Felony) and Possession of Drug Paraphernalia, (Class A Misdemeanor).
