Peggy Trammell Sheriff Lance Bonds

The Stone County Sheriff’s Office Administrative Assistant is Peggy Trammell.  She coordinates all clerical and record keeping for the Sheriff’s Office. She directly manages the accounts payable processes, and makes monthly settlements with the Circuit and District Clerk’s Offices, as well as the County Treasurer for all monies received.

Deputy Darrell Wills is responsible for receiving, maintaining, and tracking all civil process that comes to the Sheriff’s Office. These include Summons, Subpoenas, Eviction Notices, Orders of Protection, and various Writs.

Detention Center employees are in charge of entering tickets from the Stone County Sheriff’s Office, Arkansas State Police, and the Arkansas Game and Fish. Officers insure that each ticket is entered for the District Court so it may be placed on the Court docket correctly.

Detention Center Administrator Mike Stephen, prepares the necessary reports and paperwork associated with the transfer of inmates to the Arkansas Department of Corrections following Court Plea/trial and sentencing determinations made by the Court.  Administrator Stephen also supervises all Detention Center officers.

Chief Pierce oversees the day to day function of the Sheriff's Department and supervises all Deputies and Criminal Investigators.  He consults daily with the Sheriff, on matters pertinent to the service of Stone County citizens.  Pierce also supervises all internal training.
